Of course I didn't run a 10k in 35 seconds.... I m Of course I didn't run a 10k in 35 seconds.... I meant the length of the video! But now that I do have your attention lol... Yesterday I ran the #starttopark10k @honolulumarathon. I wasn't sure if I was gonna survive to be honest, because I didn't train for real, and unfortunately ya boy has been dealing with a return to debilitating chronic back pain. So the big questions must be answered. Yes, I did finish, AND the cherry on top - I hit my goal time - which was to run less then a 15 minute mile. Afterwards,I had a Malasada (one of the few races that have this Hawaiian pastry for refueling post race) and I took a dip in the ocean to cool off. This has given me enough motivation to sign up for the marathon next year. Same hope of just crossing the finish line is my goal. Shouts out to all ya'll who gave me words of encouragement. Oh yeah, TONITE, it will be our LAST #newwaveheartthrobs of 2025. I'm definitely gonna be sore but that's alright I'll just sit down while we play ya'll some of our favorite #newwqve tunes. For the last one we have special guest @raquellovesdrive opening up the nite at 8 pm est. And your regular scheduled @twitch streamers will be bringing it home. @lestalusan at 9Pm est yours truly from 10 to Midnite, and @mikecmusic from Midnite til?? We're finishing this year off properly.

I headed back to Honolulu at this time mostly to d I headed back to Honolulu at this time mostly to do this. The #starttopark10k @honolulumarathon. To be clear, I'm just doing the 10k, not the full marathon. For those who have been following me for a minute, ya'll know I've been running marathons for years, but about 5 years ago I had back surgery which should have knocked out running from my activity list entirely. But u know... I'm nuts. So with exactly zero training, I just wanna see where my body is at. I have no reasonable expectations of finishing this race anywhere near what I used to be able to( at my height I could run a 10k at sub 7 minute mile pace) ... All I wanna do is cros the finish line... With hopes that when I finish the race, I'll want to do the marathon in 2026. Wish me luck ya'll I am hoping to finish it in an hour and a half (I know super duper slow but with no training, I'll be lucky to hit that time). I'm going to try to 'have fun' doing this... But honestly I'm just looking to survive. My bar Is love these days. Survival will suffice. Anyway, after the race I will be doing my #rnbonasunday live @twitch stream (8 pm est). And this Monday, we are doing our year end 2025 grand finale of #newwaveheartthrobs with special guest @raquellovesdrive aka #djaviva with residemts @mikecmusic and @lestalusan. This is our monthly celebration of all things new wave that usually goes down the last Monday of every month so I'm giving ya'll advance notice. I remember reading this article a while ago that e I remember reading this article a while ago that essentially said (without any actual empirical evidence) that the majority of Jamaican #45 vinyl is no longer in #jamaica, it's in #tokyo. #japanese music lovers are the pinnacle of appreciation and curation and archiving. Especially when it comes to vinyl. They consume music in a way I've rarely seen elsewhere, where there attention to detail and quality is just on another level. With that being said... From what I remember, when I was a youngster young From what I remember, when I was a youngster youngster - like before the 2nd grade - I used to make friends pretty easy... Until we learned that I was NOT good at sports,and I ended up getting glasses... and i also learned how to play the violin... Plus... I actually did well in school aka I was a nerd. So basically if there was a list of things that would make a kid unpopular in elementary school, I put a check mark next to every item on the list. Suffice to say, I know what it was like to... Just not fit in. This was something I worried about for @babylilisworld... And unfortunately because of the communication barrier (even though we live in Japan her first language is English) , my daughter has confessed to me that she spends a lot of time alone... Because she can't really talk to anyone, her Japanese is just not strong yet and she ends up just being embarrassed and shy... It kind of broke my heart to hear that. She's a little too young to be listening to the cure on repeat. Today tho after school, she said that someone in her class gave her a note to give me. It was written in Japanese and it said that she wanted Lili to come play with her at the park after school. She would be there at 3PM. So today, I got to see the little lady on he first real school play date :). They even let me join in the fun and let me jump rope with them later on... Although all I did was rope duty... They didn't give me a turn to jump. Dammit these kids swindled me! Anyway, today was pretty good :) #girldad #dadlife
