I love #djing weddings. Back in the day when I wou I love #djing weddings. Back in the day when I would do them more often then not it was because the couple heard one of my sweeet mixtapes, so I'd often be in musical heaven. It's pretty wild though these days to see how folks consume music now. The groom was born and raised in detroit, requested detroit specific joints like motown, etc etc. I mentioned dilla and he was like, absolutely. The wife on the other hand, was a huge swiftee. I never imagined I'd be able to play both at the same event, but here we are. I'm still not a swiftee though. Congrats to the happy couple Andrew and Lisa. I've witnessed many a wedding, and these guy's got a real good shot to making it forever. There's no such thing as bad music... It's all about finding the right time and place for it. Anyways, I'm playing some vinyl tomorrow at @kompaktrecordbar_jp in Tokyo Japan. Unfortunately I don't have any Taylor swift on vinyl though. My bad ya'll. A Very rare #japan appearance. Shouts to @djmarkwest for the invite to play some #vinyl. @kompaktrecordbar_jp 10/17 Sat 7PM Come through! It's gonna be special @knxwledge @djmarkwest @djneilarmstrong @_southbetty_ @johnniewalker Music charge: Entry is ¥1,000 until 9 PM

Last few weeks were busy ones. Djed a bunch. Flew Last few weeks were busy ones. Djed a bunch. Flew a bunch - Japan to Hawaii to Tampa/st petersburg to Austin to San Antonio to NYC and back to Japan. Celebrated my mom's 82 bday with her. And now... Back with the little lady @babylilisworld. And now I'm gearing up to do it all over again.
The intruders - > @saadiqmoves x @qtip Get involve The intruders - > @saadiqmoves x @qtip Get involved Many of ya'll have heard my mixtape series 'original', which connect the original samples to their hip hop counterparts. That mixtape series is over 20 years old now, which is insane. I used to do a live version of the mixtape, but with all 12s. Now that I'm spinning #45s more to save my back, I been working on live routines using the more compact format, this happens to be one that also honors our mothers. Today is my mom's bday. Over time I've probably missed many of them because I was out on the road, and later I was trying to build my own family. But I am well aware that I have a very finite number of them left to spend with her, and I think subconsciously I've been able to spend maybe the last 4 or 5 with her. Anyway mom's, I dedicate this little original sample #45 routine to you. Happy birthday. This is a #tbt to Mother's day, a rare moment when my mom was able to spend mother's day with both me and my sister. Now... Lord knows I'm not a big dude. I'm 5'7 on a good day. If I was on these dating apps I would be cooked. But when I stand next to my mother I look like how I look like standing next to an @nba player lol. #tbt, I got to do a very very cool mother's day event this year at @kiwami.nyc they did a mother's day omakase. Sooooo I was multitasking like crazy. Playing #citypop and boogie, while keeping the @nyknicks game on because we were whooping the @sixers lovely, while also eating and celebrating my mom. Multitasking baby.
