7/10 – Sat – Mr Armstrong at Highpoint Shoes in Arizona for GKY

Dearly Departed & 5th Column Present
GKY
Saturday July 10th
8 – 10:30 PM

@ HighPoint Shoes
7135 E. Camelback Road Suite 175 Scottsdale, AZ

Despite its aggressive, literal definition, “Go Kill Yourself”, in the eyes of 5th Column and Dearly Departed, is an iconoclastic call to action of sorts. According to the brands, the metaphoric “instructions” translate to a facetious nod toward the arrogantly ignorant. With both teams building their empires upon satirical symbolisms, Go Kill Yourself or GKY simply stands for the ultimate death of the ego and the thrill of the KILL. With music spun by the legendary DJ Neil Armstrong, please join High Point Shoes, 5th Column, and Dearly Departed for the celebratory coming out of this summer’s most anticipated project.

Much love Aerial 7… and they return it back with a chance to win some free tank headphones…

Currently on the aerial 7 website they’ve been using my dashing good looks to help promote their headphones.

At the end of last year I had the opportunity to check out their facilities out in Australia, located in byron bay right near the beach where i learned how to surf . Phil – a native of Southern California helped me catch my first wave…

A lot of the design and product testing goes on in this lab, and they of course gave me a sneakpeak pair of their luxury line of headphones the absolutes –

As well as some up and coming projects…

This is some good stuff. Everyone is gonna have a different experience, but My aerial 7 tanks have lasted me about 6 months of RIGOROUS touring!

Complete with white swans swimmin in the same lake as the peoples –

My mind though is still 2 oceans away in Hawaii, where I got to chill out with its wildlife up colse and personal when Emily and I swam with some Turtles.

It was pretty trippy. I said to emily – Hey, take a pick of me standing on this rock… I think its a rock. BUT THEN. It moved.

Turns out there was a whole school of turtles just chillin on the north shore with us. One of them kept following emily. She calls him joey.

With Our Trusty CANON S90 we caught the whole thing… Peep it below…

6/30 – Wed – Neil Returns to Gothenburg Sweden for COLORS Summer Premier Party

for sale on Flickr”>
Two things are certain about summer in Gothenburg: If the sun is shining the parks will be crowded and if it’s Wednesday evening you’ll find the largest color coordinated crowd in the country lined up outside of Nefertiti!

On June 30th it is finally time for Colors to open the gates again and celebrate summer with a green evening!

Expectations are huge following last years success, online where Colors was elected Club of the Year 2009 by Djungeltrumman. This year we are aiming even higher and we are very pleased to be able to present one of the best DJ’s on the planet for our premier, DJ Neil Armstrong! Armstrong built a solid reputation through his amazing mixtapes and is The official DJ for Adidas events, but during the last years his career skyrocketed when he became The DJ for Jay-Z! Armstrong was also appointed DJ for president Obama’s inaguartion party! Neil Armstrong has been a key figure in the development of the modern music culture, where all boundries and genres are crossed in the quest for the perfect vibe. As such we see Neil Armstrong as the perfect artist for Colors!

As we planned the summer we have hung out a lot at the new favourite restaurant, Moon, which we are pleased to introduce to the rest of Gothenburg. They will present their delicious green curry at the premier. The garden architects at Bellis Växttema has also promised to bring some of the summer park feeling to our outdoor area! This is just a glimpse of what’s to come from our action packed premier on Green Night June 30th!

It’s been a while now actually since I’ve played the backup roll for Jay- although MOST people still think I still DJ for Jay though, which makes me think people really don’t read my blogs or pay attention to my twitter ;) I still get asked on the daily.

I of course have moved on the bigger and better things – like ending up in the Star Wars “movie” with Snoop and Beckham, and travelling around the world solo for adidas…

But, another Bday Around the corner has got me Reminiscing over one of the most whirlwind times of my life.

About 3 months ago I dropped the DNA of the Blueprint on y’all, and for the most part barring a handful of critics… I think y’all liked it ;)

One complaint / request though, was that some of y’all NEEDED it Tracked out , seperated so you could fastforward and rewind with eaze in your car and whatnot.

And I’ve been slacking on that. BUT , since its my bday this Saturday, I figured it would be a good time to get my good karma up and give y’all , my supporters and fans a gift right back.

So here ya go – go here to Download the DNA of the Blueprint – Seperated Tracks ;)

Wow, troche in about 5 days its gonna be my Bday… and I can’t help but reflect.

To say I have a crazy life would be an understatement, help and when I do think back there have been a lot of turning points, remedy a lot of hallmark moments.

My buddy Vinroc used to have this theory that if you are on your proper “path”, things kind of come together for most people later in their life, when they hit their 30’s.

For me, that was well, back about 5 years ago ;)

I think what vinny said was kind of true… it was around that time that the outside non underground worldstarted to take notice of me.

Back in 2005 was the first time that Cornerstone asked me to do one of their infamous Mixtapes.

And I think that was one of the signs that I was moving into a different realm.

As it turns out, this mixtape wasn’t widely distributed to my normal fanbase. It was a “Best of” mix for that years music, and was really only sent to industry folk, you couldn’t buy it.

I recently dug it up, and I decided, it would be a good time to Revisit and reminisce over it with y’all my fans and critics. You can see how much time has passed, and what I was doing back then to prepare me for my life now…

Below is a Tracklist for my part of the cd. It starts with #33, as DJ Timbuktu did the 1st half of it. Mr Cee also was featured on it, thats why he’s on the cover. Back then, I didn’t get any cover love ;)

Its funny, the 1st track of the cd – well, it was Jay-z on it ;) Kind of prophetic don’t ya think? ;)

Next week I return to Oahu Hawaii… so lets recap the last trip shall we.

I’m here in Cincinnati Ohio / Kentucky , pilule and it IS RIDICULOUS HOT.

Which reminds me, that in exactly a week I’m returning to Hawaii to Celebrate my Bday / Rock for y’all .

I figure before I do that it would be nice to reminisce on when I was last there in april for the Architechs 10 YR anniversary party.

It was fun in the sun, surfing, good music, good scenery, good food and good peoples…

I even got to test out Emmulate’s Canon S90 with underwater case capabilities

And one of my partygoers Jodee actually flew in from the big island just to party with me, and brought me some Freeze dried Ice cream – she works for an astronomy type spot ;)

I pretty much ate the whole thing that nite back at my hotel ;)

As you can see, Hawaii is BEAUTIFUL. Click Here to see the rest of the flicks from the last trip.

The last time I went out there to rock, It was a private party, but this time around, well, everyone is invited ;)

from the press release ”

adidas Originals presents the Star Wars™ Cantina 2010:
The most Original place to watch the 2010 FIFA World Cup™

Herzogenaurach, June 1st, 2010 – The latest instalment of the 2010 Originals campaign, “The Street Where Originality Lives,” combines Star Wars, adidas and the world’s largest sporting event in a cinematic first that takes the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ to a whole new galaxy. The film is a creative re-edit of one of the most famous Star Wars movie scenes – the Mos Eisley Cantina on Tatooine – and features David Beckham, Franz Beckenbauer, Snoop Dogg, Noel Gallagher, Ian Brown, Ciara, Jay Baruchel, Daft Punk and DJ Neil Armstrong, not to mention Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3P0 and Obi-Wan Kenobi. This unique film was created as a result of a close partnership with Lucasfilm Ltd.

“The theme of the 2010 Originals campaign is a neighborhood of originality,” explained Tom Ramsden, Global Director of Communications, adidas Originals. “It brings together all elements of adidas Originals and the diverse people who wear it – artists, athletes, musicians, skaters and so on all in one place, doing what they love to do. So when we thought about how to best present adidas’ partnerships with Star Wars and the 2010 FIFA World Cup™, we immediately thought of temporarily turning the Mos Eisley Cantina into a place to watch some football and invite some friends along. The result is a truly unique, original film.”
