10 years is a loooonnng time. I’ve been coming out to the bay area since about that time, rocking parties to the point that it was basically my second home.
In that time period a lot of my fans have grown up. They got families, responsibilities… they’re not coming out to party on a thursday anymore ;)
So for this Sweeet 10 Year Anniversary West Coast run, we are going to do something really special Bay Area, giving my long term fans a chance to come out once again, feed there bellies with good food, and feed there soul with some good music.
Join us on Saturday, February 9th at O3 Bistro & Lounge as we present a special listening party and dinner celebrating good music, good food with good people hosted by DJ Neil Armstrong and Fran Boogie.
This is your chance to break bread with me and the Bay Area Family, and a really great way to prepare for Valentine’s Day. This is an All Ages event, so you can even bring out the kiddies to listen and learn about good music.
During your dinner you’ll be able to hear the complete ‘Sweeet’ mixtape series as you enjoy a special California/Pan-Asian prixe fixe dinner menu prepared by Chef Joe Villanueva. There will be to two sittings, 6pm and 8pm. Seating is extremely limited, So please RSVP below.

And this one is will be bittersweet… As we Celebrate the 10 Year Anniversary of D2S and also keep our glasses in the air to Say goodbye.
For my folk in the bay, you should know Distortion 2 Static as THE hip hop show, and
even though I’m from NYC, I’ve been rocking with these D2S fellas for a minute, even gettin on their show every so often ;)

I’m on the mastercleanse right now. I haven’t eaten in 48 hours. So of course, medicine I’m gonna write about food, which if you follow my tweets, you know I loovvvve. And because of my travelling minstrel type lifestyle, I get to sample many a great culinary pleasure.
For those of you who have been following me for a while you should know I gots love for the bay, and vice versa.
Many of my folk live out there – my partners in crime Prestige world wide are out there – Vinroc and Franboogie –
This trip we had one of our presentation meetings at one of our DJ Homie’s MOST EXCELLENT RESTAURANTS – PAPALOTE’s.
Papalote’s is owned by Miguel, Jodi and Victor Escobedo, with 2 spots in the yay – 3409 24th Street @ Valencia. (415) 970 8815 ,1777 Fulton Street @ Masonic. (415) 776 0106 .
To us – Miguel is better known as DJ Mr. E , a Bay Area Mainstay, and a killer on the 1’s and 2’s .
Most Recently, y’all may have seen him choppin it up with Bobby Flay on the food network, where he had a burrito throwdown …
Papalote’s put up their TRIPLE THREAT BURRITO (fun fact – it was named after the TRIPLE THREAT DJs – Vinroc, Shortkut and APOLLO!) against one of Bobby Flays creations.
The winner???!!, well, the picture below says it all –
I was there that day to try one of their other creations – The Adobo Burrito.
Now, I wish I could describe how good this is, but I’ll leave it up to the guys at WeEATING.com, the yay area’s premiere URBAN FOOD Site to give you some background on this one –
