Ya'll could use a break from the craziness of these days. I got the call up from Apple Music to drop a little mix for LowKey's Hip Hop R&B throwback show. Being broadcast now at /music.apple.com/us/curator/hip-hop-r-b-throwback-radio-with-lowkey/1496850492 According to apple a "throwback is anything between 1990's to 2017". I kept it mostly late 90s/2000s club hits to keep it light. Take a trip back when the drink of choice was Incredible Hulks.

The #anabasaudio #portable turntable setup has been miniaturized in #gachagacha form. The detail on these is pretty dope with movable faders and a removable 45. For those that know the Anabas audio turntable is the relatively recent upgraded recreation of the classic #columbiagp3 turntable that got extremely popular in the 80s, and is a go to for many a #vinyldj when searching for them records. You could actually play a record on the real one standing vertically. There has been many a collaboration done with these turntables, including @supreme, @neighborhood and a whole gang of artists. So these gachas are a perfect gift for the #vinylhead in ya life. I have a couple of complete sets to put up for sale for my heads who can't get out to Japan to get they're own. I love cheap records. LOVE THEM. But they often du I love cheap records. LOVE THEM. But they often dusty as hell. Especially jamaican 45s. But even when they beat up they still play pretty dang good. It's amazing to be honest. However, a little bit of cleaning will always do ya vinyl good.  Now when I first saw this online, the particular poster had one of them headlines like."the only way to clean your records" type thing. And of course I was worried I'd mess up the record. But from personal experience, when a record is VERY dirty, using a magic eraser... works like magic. Literally. Doing a deep dive online, I've seen some cats put an electron microscope to their record to see how well the grit and the dirt gets removed. I DO NOT claim to be an expert in the field of record cleaning. I have been told and have seen a lot of videos that suggest an ultrasonic cleaner is the business. But, for those who do not have access to one or the funds to purchase... this might be the next best thing?!? For those that are wondering, I use @nagaoka_official producto often out here in japan, from their needles to their styles cleaners to their record cleaner kits.  They actually have a whooole system that I will one day do a post on that is pretty unique. But for this video I used the SPW01 clear tone water that is formulated to prevent residue when dried, the accompanying WCL111 Argentto brush, their CLV30 cleaning cloth, and the cherry on the top of the sundae - the Clear tone 558 record cleaning spray that really does give you that new record smell and anti static cleanliness. This was a Pic from November of 2012 when the @brooklynnets moved from Jersey to bk, held at the @kith Brooklyn location down the block from the new stadium. Both of us dropped mixtapes with @adidas for the occasion, with his dropping via @complex and mine via #jayz old website @lifeandtimesofficial. Mine was called 'from marcy to marclays', and his was called 'all Brooklyn everything' . I think you tell from the titles what these mixtape were all about.
