I flew all the way from Japan last week to watch t I flew all the way from Japan last week to watch the @nyknicks in person. I somehow was able to see two @nba final games... And two wins. One being a historic nite in #nbafinals history as we climbed back from 29 at @thegarden. You would think I would have stuck around for the parade. But you see, my birthday is June 19th - #joserizal bday, and also juneteenth. I was born on a pretty important day. But very important to me personally, is that since @babylilisworld was born, I've never missed a birthday with her. Not a one. I've come to realize that, if I'm lucky I get to have maybe... 10 more birthdays with her by my side. There is gonna be a day when she has her own life, her own friends... I'll be lucky to get a quick 2 minute bday call. So, I've decided that there's no way I can squander these limited opportunities to spend my bday with the little lady... Even if it means missing a parade down the canyon of heroes. It's totally fine, I got my fill of in person celebrating already. I don't plan to cross over anytime soon, but if the times comes, I can die in peace lol - someone put that on a shirt I saw... Friggin genius. Besides, I got to watch game 5 with @babylilisworld. She already got her stressed position down pat. Just FYI speaking of birthdays - I'm heading back stateside this weekend.... We'll be celebrating in Hawaii, nyc, and my old stomping grounds of New Jersey too. Scroll thru the carousel for the info. I've had the opportunity being a native #newyorker I've had the opportunity being a native #newyorker and being #djneilarmstrong, to have worked with and met many a real @nyknicks player. But I'm from New York, so I'm a #knick... And so is @babylilisworld. She stole my #timbs. Just FYI. My bday is on June 19th, yes #juneteenth. I wanted to be part the @nyknicks #nyc energy. Ya'll see what's happening out there in the big apple! I really wanted to stay till the end... To see that next win, to watch these @nyknicks parade down the canyon of heroes.... But I had someone back home I would chose to share this love of mine with more then anyone in the world. Me and @babylilisworld just made a core memory, watching game 5, the closeout game together here in Japan, just me and her :). Our first championship viewing party :). The timing couldn't be more perfect. If it was on a weekday we couldn't have seen it happen together because she would have been in school. Me and the little lady had a date with destiny... Besides that... Ya boy is broke after splurging all week. So I need to get back to regular life - I'm gonna be jumping on @twitch for #rnbonasunday tonite! Well, it lasted until we got to the @nba finals. Crossing my fingers, that it stays up for the #nyknicks to bring home a chip. This has been a crazy week. I've been on and off p This has been a crazy week. I've been on and off planes, flew All the way from Japan to Honolulu to NYC TO San Antonio just to see the @nyknicks do they thing in person for this @nba finals. My job as a #dj has allowed me in the past and recently to be around some @nyknicks heroes. 1st picture is me back in 2010 at the NBA rookie photoshoot when a young @jlin7 had been drafted by @warriors. 2nd Pic is one flick I never thought I would get. Despite me seeing @carmeloanthony perform at the garden in person probably hundreds of times over the years, I have never been able to meet him and chop it up in person, til a few weeks ago at @thecompound_ during an #nbaeasternconferencefinals viewing party. And now in the podcast space, we gonna get to see them together on @7pminbrooklyn. I'm not a big podcast guy but I'll be tuning in to this convo for sure. And finally, I just put a picture up of one of my personal experiences at @thegarden to take up some space so that the intro to #welcometonewyorkcity could finish. This is from the night I performed with #mrcarter #jayz on 9/11/09, friggin 17 years ago. 📸 By @13thwitness How time flies... That was a historic night for me.
