For the very first time, #DinnerAndAMixtape is gonna move to brunch For a ONE TIME ONLY collaboration with yours truly DJ Neil Armstrong & one of my favorite restaurants in the world run by fellow DJ Mr. E – Papalote.
Mr. E will be preparing for the very first time a Full Brunch Menu complete with proper cocktails and the whole nine. Due to limited Space, there will BE NO RESERVATIONS. we are treating this like a sneaker release. First Come First serve, only 25 orders of each Brunch specialty Dish will be made. Early Seating starts at 10:45 AM.
We will be there from 10:45 to 3 PM Sunday, playing my latest mixtape Warmfuzzy Part 2 while you guys grub. This will be the first Bay Area listening session for my latest mix which will be available for purchase, as well as my Leaving Dishes Instagram Guide book that I made for my fellow Foodie Travellers.

Rizzo’s first started in Astoria in 1959, and in recent years opened up in my favorite neighborhood the Lower East Side.
Being from NYC I like my slices simple. Never had one of them hawaiian pizza joints with the Ham & Pineapple.
So when Rizzo’s Hit me up to create a signature pie it was difficult for me to figure something that made sense.
Marrying asian and italian flavors doesn’t happen too often out there, but I figured we could give this a try. Using a tomato bass, with mozzarella and ricotta cheese on the italian side , the thai spare rib meat and chili sambal sauce to represent some asian flavors, and the red onions + Basil as the ingredients that are familiar to both flavor profiles.
TONITE – March 3rd from 6-10 PM, you can come join us at Rizzo’s as we unveil the “DJ Neil Armstrong” Thai rib pizza for to the public, for ONE NIGHT ONLY.
Bring an appetite, the knicks game will be on the TV, we have a full bar with Roxy Cottontail serving up the libations.

For the next hour, I need you to open up your minds a little somethin. This is the 1st of the AOK Series. You see – you gotta do everything, if you specialize in just one thing, you can’t call yourself an ALL OUT KING. This may be somewhat of a stretch for all y’all who are used to their music in neat little packets. We’re taking a trip, and you’re probably going to hear things your not used to. Don’t worry, I won’t hit you over the head too hard, we’ll do this in babysteps…
This one’s called Warmfuzzy, like the feeling. It’s to “celebrate” Valentine’s Day, but if you’re as pimp as you think you are, this cd should be good all yr round.
At that time, music wasn’t quite this multi-genre stew it is today. Kanye West and Paul McCartney weren’t dropping collabo songs. Miley Cyrus wasn’t making music w/ Juicy J. But on the Warmfuzzy mix, there was everything on it – from Coldplay to Queen to Al Green to Slum Village, mixed NOT in the usual “mash-up” fashion of the time, but in a distinctly tasteful way that made everything cohesive. The subject matter for all the music was that “crazy little thing called Love”. Love kept warmfuzzy together.
After it’s release it became one of the mixes I was most well known for, and also the one that was my favorite to create.
This mix you hold here is Warmfuzzy part 2. Although 10 yrs have passed, the infinite pursuit still goes on. May this be the soundtrack to the next chapters in your story. I’ll still be right here with you…

This event on January 15 Thursday has a slight twist. This is the NYC celebration of the release of “Leaving Dishes Vol 1”, the instagram food guide documenting and sharing all the delicious restaurants around the world that DJ Neil Armstrong has had the opportunity to visit travelling the globe as a DJ. 104 restaurants and 34 cities are shown in a conveniently “sized for travel” soft cover book. Only 250 copies of volume 1 were made.
For this event we partnered up with Bunker Vietnamese, located in DJ Neil Armstrong’s home Borough of Queens NYC. Celebrating it’s 2 year anniversary, Chef Jimmy Tu of Bunker will be creating a very special Vietnamese “Family Style” Tasting Menu for one night only. Throughout the night DJ Neil Armstrong’s Mixtape library will be playing, including excerpts of unreleased remixes he has created over the years.
Attendees of Dinner & A Mixtape x Bunker will receive a very special gift bag, which includes a copy of “Leaving Dishes vol 1”, A limited edition Bunker X DJ Neil Armstrong T-shirt, and a sample of “Bunkers own Hot Sauce” in an event commemorative bottle, which they will be debuting at this event. We’re welcoming the 2014-2015 season of One Step Beyond with a bang!
During this monthly Museum dance party, enjoy drinks and dancing in the Museum’s Rose Center for Earth and Space. Take a walk up the Cosmic Pathway to the Hayden Big Bang Theater and look down into a giant concave screen, there acclaimed actor Liam Neeson narrates a dynamic flight through the virtual universe based on an accurate cosmic atlas. Each ticket to One Step Beyond also includes one pass to the Museum for future use.
DJ Questlove (DJ set), headliner
Grammy Award-winning Questlove (Ahmir Khalib Thompson), is the drummer for the well-known hip-hop band The Roots, currently the house band on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” Along with being the musical director of the “Tonight Show,” Questlove is a well-recognized DJ known for his massive record collection. The Philadelphia-born musician’s first performance was playing bongos on stage with his parents at Radio City Music Hall when he was 13 years old—because his parents didn’t trust babysitters. His memoir, Mo’ Meta Blues, hit bookshelves in June 2013, and his follow-up publication Soul Train: The Music, Dance, and Style of a Generation, was released in October 2013.
DJ Neil Armstrong
New York City native DJ Neil Armstrong turned his love of music and hip-hop culture into a career that has allowed him to play music all over the world. Neil originally gained notoriety for his mix tape projects, showcasing his DJ skills, which generated considerable press and leading to a spot as Jay-Z’s tour DJ from 2008 until 2010, traveling around North America. Since then, he has DJ’d around the world including a performance at President Obama’s inauguration.
Matthew Law
From an early age, Philadelphia-born Matthew Law (Matthew Fishman-Dickerson) was exposed to a variety of musical styles through his theater-aficionado parents. Law has toured extensively throughout the United States, and, in 2013, he was voted Northeast Champion of the Red Bull Thre3Style competition. He has also appeared on the Oddball Comedy Tour and produces his own events called PHSH TANK and FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

Providing food for the event will be Bay Area’s own Señor Sisig. Recently featured on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives, one of the city’s best food trucks will be flexing their culinary skills, offering for the first time a 3 course Filipino inspired menu, alongside their classic favorite offerings.
1st course will be a green mango and heirloom tomato salad served with a balsamic reduction sauce.
2nd course is braised coconut adobo pork belly served with a bed of saffron rice and garnished with a slice of shrimp okoy (shrimp and sprout pancake)
With Early bird tickets you get guaranteed entry into the event, the 3 course meal, a copy of the new mixtape -USB ‘original5’ , the event exclusive #fullylaced Snapback, and a commemorative pint glass to bring home for $45 dollars. Check out all the goods in the picture below.
