I was unsure what to expect when me and Sky arrived… and even afterwards I’m still pretty dumbfounded.
Built from the ideas of some key creative minds in particular TADIROCK, this MADE was a space created for the sheer point of CREATING . Creating Art, Creating a message, Creating greatness.
Much like Andy Warhol’s Factory in NYC from the 60’s , this is a place that was built for artists from all around the world to come together and make dreams come true.
A better way to explain it, would be to let the People of Made do the talking –
From their blog – MADE an inspiring place where creative minds from different fields come together. a living platform where they create a vision of something extraordinary and bring it to life.
This space has only been open for about 2 months, and Phil G and Nico Zeh gave us the grand tour .
The aesthetic and functionality of the space as described in the video above are amazing. They actually modelled the foyer entrance after one of my fav movies of all timeStar Wars . A lot of white , boxlike modular walls…
BUT , what catches the eye 1st is the CRAZY CRAZY LIGHTING SYSTEM.
This lighting system is patented, the 1st of its kind. THey wanted to create a lighting system where you could control the mode thru color, a lighting system where a photographer could have 24 hour daylight and shoot with no shadows, and this system is what they came up with.
You can LITERALLY CHANGE EACH light to a different color, or change sections of it, or put them on a loop, all from ONE central control. simply Amazing.

The space itself, is malleable. Like how Bruce Lee tells his student to “Be Like Water, so is this space.
The walls are movable, the furniture, even the bar can be moved around to suit your creative needs.
The 1st Art installation created and shown at this space was this snowglobe project by Sneaker connoisseur Yoske Nishiumi and photographer Alex Flach, who put their heads together to come up with this extraordinary vision.
A big part of this project, was that the viewer would end up becoming part of the art piece, and Myself and Sky Gellatly got to do just that.
The guys at MADE ended up interviewing myself and sky, picking our brains about the space, about possible ideas that I have that I would like to have come to frution.

The party as you can imagine was great as shown in the last bloggy blog.
Good Food, interesting people, and I can vouch for the good music.
There was Stuff for all ages – Facepainting for the “kids”, Fotomat and even Balloons ;) Yeah ok. So what. I got convinced to get facepainted on my neck. shut up.
As much fun as the party was, the experience of berlin and chillin in this historic cultural town was even better…
From the moment we got on the plane it was gonna be a good trip. My manager and I got upgraded from coach to First Class Fo FREEZY because Coach got oversold. Its like when racism works in your favor.
1st class is definitely nice… not worth it if I actually had to pay for it, but compared to coach, its another world ;)
The day the block party was supposed to happen got rained out unfortunately, so we turned it into a tourist day. With our friend and fellow Hypebeast blogger Artoo, Phil G from Soto/MADE, and Thomas and Stephan, we got to see the city thru the eyes of the locals.

The night before we hit up a spot called BAR 25 by the River that is known for being an all weekend party affair. Beautiful Spot with amazin food…
At this spot, I had the most excellent Weiner Snitzel . Breaded veal I believe. Delicious. and Very German. Like Sprockets.
All of this was great ;) Berlin is a beautiful town, but our last stop there was a place called the MADE creative space, and that was the HIGHLIGHT. That my friends, will be for tomorrows blog….

Here I am, viagra one foot in the old East Berlin, one in the west.
It is a beautiful town and I will recapping my shenanigans here for the rest of this week, as I got to see and do quite a bit.
However, we’ll start with the reason I was out there in the 1st place – The No 74 Block Party! Initially meant to be on May 15th, we had to move it to the 16th due to Rain, BUT the weather gods shined their lights on us and made it a great day regardless….
On this street Torstrasse, a bunch of stores got together and threw a honest to goodness Block Party, Flying myself in alongside Berlins own modselektor . Folk of all types came thru, from kiddies to young hipsters, to grandmamas and papas.
A bunch of brands were present and accounted for – Pauls Boutique, Soto, UndPlus Collabroom, Oh Lalaaa and Uslu Airlines.

The Party got CARRAZY when Modselktor got on, and ended with a massive Pillow / Feather Fight…
AND THEN… AFTER THE SHOW it’s the AFTERPARTY….
Well. In this case, it was a PRE PARTY, as the party was moved to the next day and the afterparty stayed the same on May 15th.

The 2010 adiCup prepares to kick off on May 22nd in New York City. This year’s competition will feature a slew of competing teams, viagra each playing a tournament in their hometown. Here is some background for those that don’t know –
adidas celebrates 2010 FIFA World CupTM with a global football tourney, honoring its long-lived New York City tradition. To commemorate the 2010 FIFA World CupTM, adidas’ 9th annual FANATIC soccer tournament in New York City is “going global” with a new name – adiCup, 2010 FIFA World CupTM edition. A record 28 teams will compete Saturday, May 22nd on the main field at New York’s Pier 40, where the event first began eight years ago.
Hosted by adidas, FANATIC was created in 2002 as an immersive experience of soccer and community in New York. adidas sought out an eclectic mix of ‘football’ enthusiasts; an assortment of teams made up of originative activators in the creative scene. From music and media to fashion and hospitality, those involved were hand picked to re-engage the culture in downtown New York with the sport of soccer. Since its inception, FANATIC has grown with every passing year, drawing an abundance of teams vying to compete, and crowds of up to 1,500 soccer ‘fanatics’ and counting. In addition, the tournament was interpreted on a global scale in select cities every four years during FIFA World CupTM, and adiCup was born.
With higher stakes than ever, adiCup 2010 promises to entertain. The coveted NYC team slots have been filled with a record 28 crews, each consisting of eight players as opposed to six players in years past. With a wider playing field, returning teams such as Chinatown Soccer Club, United Bamboo, Freeman’s Sporting Club, Opening Ceremony, Paper Shredders and Vice F.C. will have the opportunity at some fresh faces, like newcomers ACE+CO, EVR (East Village Radio), V Magazine and The Standard F.C.
In true FANATIC form, Brother Jimmy’s BBQ will cater to the masses while DJ Neil Armstrong, former tour DJ of Jay Z, will keep the crowd going with as fresh a set as ever for what promises to be the largest audience to date. Also, as the UEFA Champion’s LeagueTM finale takes place on the same day, adidas will screen the game live for fans in attendance.
This tournament has gone WORLDWIDE, and four teams from NYC, Tokyo, Berlin and London will go at it IN Berlin . The Grand Prize winning team of the adiCup 2010 World Final in Germany will be flown to South Africa to attend the 2010 FIFA World CupTM final game on July 11, 2010, courtesy of adidas. DANG.

Fellow Hypebeast blogger ARTOO has been making sure Sky Gellatly and myself don’t get lost out here.
Among his many interests that make him interesting is his love for berlin, and his love for track bikes and the riding culture.

He got me thinking that especially since I have a running injury, this summer I should take up biking.
As usual, the universe provides when its supposed to be, this time manifested with a Special EDITIONPEPSI X REPUBLIC bike – COURTESY of the fine FOLK at Team Epiphany.
They put together a little campaign , making about 20 bikes for pepsi using the fine Republic Bike company, and I was one of the fortunate few blessed with one of these.
Built around the “Aristotle”, this is a singlepeed & a fixed gear, with one of those fancy shmancy flip flop hubs, complete with pepsi branding and color schemes.
Now before you elitest fixed gear folk get your pink scarves all in a bunch, I KNOW, I got to get the reflectors off. ;) Just playing. I love hipsters…. Not really ;)
Team Epiphany, thank y’all for the bike. If you see me on the road, clear the way, cause I probably won’t be able to stop, I never rode a fixy before.

Soulsessions is one of the still Existing DOPE parties in LA, ailment in the same vein as the historic rootdown and Do Over, where good music and good vibes is the top priority.
All in all I would say it was a good nite ;) A average normal crowd of 400 doubled to about 800 to party with me for my inaugural LA set on this last west coast run…
I hit them with a modified “Originals set” – being on a west coast “TOUR” – made me doing an “ALL VINYL SET difficult, and when I do a real Originals set, best believe its all vinyl. This time around I had to use some mp3’s so I wouldn’t get hit with the extra luggage / hurt my back syndrome.
It’s Been QUITE Some time since I’ve released a New Podcast, being on the road makes it very difficult to record.

Just to remind y’all, a week ago I took a trip down to SUNNY San Diego – spanish for a whales vagina as we all know,
I signed some cds for this special collabo, met up with the folk Jay Huggins from 5 and a Dime and Bert Custodio who put together the dope artwork for the project, and of course was there to celebrate the event and Rock the Party for RHYTHM & RECREATION at Thin/Onyx.
A great time was had in the SD as always , getting to see Kuttin Kandi and enjoy the environment with Emily. Even the Hotel Room at the THE PEARL was crazy, with everyone having its own beta fish, and the personalization of a welcome letter to greet us when we got in – its all about the details…
