When I made the Drake Best I ever Had X 112 remix, cialis I was experimenting with a lot of different instrumentals, pilule and this one sounded pretty smooth as well. I released both of them as a pack, called the “pretty little remixes”.
As I head up to T.dot this weekend for NBA All Star Weekend / Valentine’s Day Weekend, I thought this would be proper all around to be reintroduced as well.
Go find a main piece, side piece, side side piece or whatevers clever, put on the game, put on the remixes at the end of the nite and chill.

10 years ago i Made this mix called ExtraOrdinary.
NOW, Part 2 is HERE.
From the liner Notes :
It’s kinda fresh you listen to more than hip-hop…
10 years ago I dropped the mixtape ExtraOrdinary as part of the “all out king” mixtape series. What was on it? Groups like 10, stuff 000 Maniacs, The Doors, Nirvana, & Laura Branigan. Basically a lot of artists that fall outside the realm of urban music. At the time, the usual way of integrating “non hip hop” into the mix was the every popular “mashup”. But on this mix there was none of that. Regardless, it was mixed with a hip hop aesthetic, with the songs flowing into one another seamlessly.
The point of making it was to show that good music is good music. I was trying to get people out of their comfort zone, or maybe realize that the box that they were in musically could be a lot bigger if they were open to it. I’m sure when people heard it some were suprised and not interested. But others have told me that ExtraOrdinary was one of their favorites.
Part 2 is meant to carry on the tradition. Music that isn’t funk, but is funky in its own way. Songs that wouldn’t be considered soul but can still make you feel something. There are songs on here that you will know just because they are part of the pop stream of consciousness. Some of the songs are gems waiting for your eats to discover them.
They are all songs that will be out of the ordinary…
ExtraOrdinary.
“You gotta do everything… If you specialize in one thing, you really can’t call yourself an All Out King.”
For A LIMITED TIME,we have brought the price of ExtraOrdinary Part 2 Cassette USB back to $15 Dollars.
Listen to Samples below for freezy.
This released last Friday but got a bit lost in the mix of last week’s madness. No biggie, because love should be celebrated everyday. This is cornerstone mixtape #181 by the @1200squad. A mix for valentine’s day, perfect for cuffing season as this cold weather has creeped in. . For some of my superfans you might recognize this from the digital DL only ‘turndown’. Will Ferrell Meets Pharell for this “All Star Weekend X Valentine’s Day” Remix of Love Me Sexy.
The Will (PHA)RELL Love me Sexy Remix
Feb 14th. Valentine’s Day and the NBA All Star Weekend converged in NYC, but so did the release of DJ Neil Armstrong’s Mixtape Warmfuzzy Part 2 – a collection of music from all over the musical spectrum celebrating that crazy little thing called Love.
One of the remixes from the mixtape is this one, Will Ferrell Meets Pharell on a track made by the ficticious Basketball Player Jackie Moon. The perfect song melding Neil Armstrong’s love of Music and Basketball.
DJ Neil Armstrong’s longtime DJ Partner DJ Daddy Dog from his crew the 5th Platoon set it to the proper visuals to bring it all together properly. Peep the video here – bit.ly/willpharell-lovemesexy

We are offering 2 Warmfuzzy Part 2 Packages – The Warmfuzzy 10 Year Anniversary Boxset, and the Warmfuzzy Part 2 USB Cassette. FROM THE LINER NOTES : Feb 14th 2005… how time flies. I made this mixtape on that date, with this written in the liner notes: For the next hour, I need you to open up your minds a little somethin. This is the 1st of the AOK Series. You see – you gotta do everything, if you specialize in just one thing, you can’t call yourself an ALL OUT KING. This may be somewhat of a stretch for all y’all who are used to their music in neat little packets. We’re taking a trip, and you’re probably going to hear things your not used to. Don’t worry, I won’t hit you over the head too hard, we’ll do this in babysteps… This one’s called Warmfuzzy, like the feeling. It’s to “celebrate” Valentine’s Day, but if you’re as pimp as you think you are, this cd should be good all yr round. At that time, music wasn’t quite this multi-genre stew it is today. Kanye West and Paul McCartney weren’t dropping collabo songs. Miley Cyrus wasn’t making music w/ Juicy J. But on the Warmfuzzy mix, there was everything on it – from Coldplay to Queen to Al Green to Slum Village, mixed NOT in the usual “mash-up” fashion of the time, but in a distinctly tasteful way that made everything cohesive. The subject matter for all the music was that “crazy little thing called Love”. Love kept warmfuzzy together. After it’s release it became one of the mixes I was most well known for, and also the one that was my favorite to create. This mix you hold here is Warmfuzzy part 2. Although 10 yrs have passed, the infinite pursuit still goes on. May this be the soundtrack to the next chapters in your story. I’ll still be right here with you… |
|
Here it is, the latest installment of the Warmfuzzy Mixtape Series – Warmfuzzy Part 2. This is presented to you in USB Cassette – merging the past with the future. A Digital Copy of the complete mixtape is loaded onto a USB stick in the familiar form of those cassettes we used when mixtapes were really mix “tapes”. |

“Dinner & A Mixtape” is the name of a worldwide series of events hosted by DJ Neil Armstrong, recipe sharing his love of music & good food. Started in 2013, they have been held in New York, Hong Kong, Toronto, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Manila Philippines.
The idea is simple – partnering up with great restaurants around the world, Dinner & A mixtape provides the opportunity to enjoy music and food together in a very unique setting. Often the restaurant will creat a special menu just for the event, and the soundtrack is provided by a new installment in DJ Neil Armstrong’s Mixtape Library. Part eating experience, part listening session. The food nourishes the body, and music feeds the soul.
This event on January 15 Thursday has a slight twist. This is the NYC celebration of the release of “Leaving Dishes Vol 1”, the instagram food guide documenting and sharing all the delicious restaurants around the world that DJ Neil Armstrong has had the opportunity to visit travelling the globe as a DJ. 104 restaurants and 34 cities are shown in a conveniently “sized for travel” soft cover book. Only 250 copies of volume 1 were made.
For this event we partnered up with Bunker Vietnamese, located in DJ Neil Armstrong’s home Borough of Queens NYC. Celebrating it’s 2 year anniversary, Chef Jimmy Tu of Bunker will be creating a very special Vietnamese “Family Style” Tasting Menu for one night only. Throughout the night DJ Neil Armstrong’s Mixtape library will be playing, including excerpts of unreleased remixes he has created over the years.
Attendees of Dinner & A Mixtape x Bunker will receive a very special gift bag, which includes a copy of “Leaving Dishes vol 1”, A limited edition Bunker X DJ Neil Armstrong T-shirt, and a sample of “Bunkers own Hot Sauce” in an event commemorative bottle, which they will be debuting at this event. Finally – all attendees will recieve a FREE Download Link for DJ Neil Armstrong’s COMPLETE Mixtape Library. The DL link alone is worth over $150 dollars, and we want everyone be able to take home the music with them along with their fully satisfied bellies.
Very VERY Limited Tickets are available for this event. 2 seatings of 24 persons each, at 6 PM, and 8 PM . The Cost for a ticket for “Dinner And A Mixtape X Bunker” is $75 , which includes a 6 course “Family Style” Tasting Menu, A Signature Cocktail created for the night, and the gift bag.

Mid June right around my birthday I’m releasing a new mixtape – Original part 5 . In the meantime to get y’all ready for the release I’m re-releasing the previous chapters in the “Original” mixtape series. Up next – 2 Original.
I believe I made it back in 2001/2002 . It follows the theme of the first mixtape – going back and forth between hip hop songs and the sampled music they originated from. The theme of the mixtape wasn’t anything new, discount but something like this hadn’t been done by a member of the turntablist battle community. Heavy on the scratching, all the original samples came off of real vinyl. These were the days before mp3’s and broadband allowed everyone to have the same music, so making this mixtape required some real digging.

Another mix for valentine’s day and everyday. This one is all ‘new’ artists and music. No song is over 5 years old. I often here folk complain about the state of new music. There is still great stuff out there, you just have to look for it ;)
I ran into a lot of technical difficulties today, so for until 10 PM Eastern Standard Time I will streaming the new mix FREE via thefuture.fm After that, it will be available via Subscription to thefuture.fm and also via Digital Download at the DJ Neil Armstrong website. In the meantime, enjoy the free stream….
After I did the Sweeet Series, clinic I had this bright idea to try to make 6 mixtapes in 6 months. I was going to call it the “All Out King” mixtape series. I did end up making the series, tadalafil but it took me about 7 years to finish.
lf you specialize in one thing,
you really can’t call yourself an all-out king. – min one from style wars
This quote from Min one became the whole idea for the new series. I was going to showcase my range of music knowledge by creating mixtapes of different genres. To be the music equivalent of a graffiti all out king.
And from this quote, Warmfuzzy, Filthy, Extraordinary, Oscillate Wildly, Music For When Nobody’s Looking and Original All Out king were Born. Each mixtape part of the same series BUT of very distinctive genres / subject matter. At that time it wasn’t that common place. You were not going to here De La Soul and the Cure on the same mixtape, unless it was in like a kitchy/campy sort of mash up way. The intent of these mixes was to keep the original integrity of the music and figure out how to connect everything.
First up in this was my valentine’s day mix warm fuzzy. We just gave it an official release via thefuture.fm
Shouts out to Haena Kang who did the artwork for the whole mixtape series.
If you like what you hear now, you can purchase a physical copy of the mix by clicking the “add to cart button” , the perfect gift for a music lover for Feb 14th and everyday.
You can also purchase the complete Sweeet 10 Year Anniversary Boxset by clicking here.
Sweeet Part 2 , site the “sequel” to sweeet . I put that in quotes because, technically Bittersweeet is the sequel… but whatevers. At some point I guess there will be a bittersweeet part 2 etc etc. Like spin-offs from tv episodes. Think of it like that.
If you haven’t heard it yet you can hear it hear via thefuture.fm.
I made sweeet part 2 in 2009, and previous to that the last mixtape (oscillate wildly) I made was in like 2006. So It had been a 3 year hiatus between creative projects, and 7 years since the 1st sweeet dropped.
In between that period a lot had things had happened. I was already on tour with Jay-z. Mash-ups were no longer the buzz, and dubstep had just reared its head for the early adopters to jump on.
With Sweeet part 2 I wanted to bring back some nostalgia and really tie the 1st two mixtapes together. So first I used a picture from the same batch of photos for the cover. In case you were wondering, the baby pictures used for all my covers are pictures of me as a child. Yes, I was wearing a plaid suit coat.
The next thing I did, was contact G-Bo The Pro.
Now for those of you who don’t know, G-bo and his old partner Rei Double R were responsible for some amazing mixtapes and a great influence on yours truly. So much so, that on the liner notes of sweeet, I shouted them out. They inspired the whole style of djing that I did for Sweeet. As time went on I actually got to meet both of them, and eventually was able to call my heroes peers.
For sweeet part 2 , I enlisted the help of G-Bo, to do a drop for the new mix, to tie everything together and to give homage to one of the guys that inspired me to do what I do . His appearance can be found at about 4:24 of the mixtape , where he tells ya’ll that we’re “Blending, not Mashing”. This was the first time I had ever used a “drop” on one of my mixtapes.
Big shouts to these two mixtape pioneers. If you’ve ever enjoyed anything I’ve done, you can thank these guys for paving the way.

Valentine’s Day is around the corner and DJ Neil Armstrong is at it again, online with a new mixtape to provide the soundtrack for your Feb 14th .
As always, look Mr. Armstrong likes to bridge the gap between the old and the new.
This is the intro sample of the mixtape , malady extended out into a “full length” mp3, downloadable for free – a remix of Drake’s Hold on we’re going home .
On Feb 14th, Neil Armstrong will be releasing the mixtape exclusively via thefuture.fm – http://www.tinyurl.com/djnaxthefuturefm.
If you happen to be in NYC Wednesday Feb 12th, come thru and hear a sneak peak of the new mixtape a few days early and have a early valentine’s day dinner at Fat Buddha in the LES for his “Dinner & A Mixtape” event.
Another one of our tv icons is moving on to their next chapter. One of my fond memories was getting to perform on his short lived “Jay Leno” Show during my run with Jay-Z . If y’all remember, treatment this was right after the infamous Taylor Swift incident with Kanye West at the VMA awards.
Peep the whole performance below…
Rihanna Jay-z y Kanye Wes Run This Town Perfomance en The Jay Leno Show from Rihanna Argentina on Vimeo.
The countdown to Valentine’s Day continues, cheap with the official digital streaming release of Smoove via thefuture.fm.
If you’ve been under a rock for the last 13 years and haven’t heard it yet, here it is for your listening pleasure.
This is one of my early mixes where I started incorporating a larger music spectrum . Led Zeppelin all of my love, mixed with the instrumental from Biggie’s One More Chance for example. For a lack of a better label, this got me known as a dreaded “MASH UP” DJ.
I’ve never really liked that term, but I understood. The time was different. So crazy how different things are today. In 2014, some of the grammy’s best performances were “mash-ups”. Like Imagine Dragons x Kendrick Lamar.
The influence of hip hop, of Hip Hop Djing culture on music as a whole is pretty amazing.
Today for the first time Bittersweeet is available officially via digital delivery. Its been floating around the internet for quite some time now, ailment but because of thefuture.fm everything is all nice and legal, viagra AND I’ll be able to get all the artists that are featured on the mixtape payed ;)
Thinking back I would say that Bittersweeet was probably my favorite mixtape that got me a lot of attention… which was pretty strange for the time period. My background was as a battle DJ. A Hip Hop DJ. So I was supposed to play Wu-Tang. Definitely not love songs.
But I always dared to be different, sickness and this mixtape ended up in the hands of some pretty important folk.
Among those people was a person named Ashley Nicoles, who at the time happened to be Damon Dashes and Jay-z’s personal assistant. Through him I imagine, the mixtapes made their way up the rocafella food chain, and according to word of mouth stories they ended up in the hands of Mr Carter, and Damon Dash.
In fact, I had a meeting via Ashley sometime in 2004 with Damon Dash, which for me being a turntablist DJ was just a crazy unimaginable eye opening experience. It was a very short conversation. Damon was in the middle of a lot of business, he said “I like your work”, and kept it moving.
After that, I got a call from another music executive at Rocafella, Mr Kenny Burns, who was running “RocMusic” – the rocafella label with “non”hiphop artists. We had a longer meeting, and I ended up making this mixtape, that never really came out, because right around the time it should have come out, was when Rocafella records fell apart.
Now this is in the age before twitter, before social media was so crazy. This was before camera phones and smartphones, pre selfie era. So I don’t have much documentation of what went down. All I have is what I remember, and this cover of the Rocafella mixtape that I made that would never be released.
Here’s another blast from the past – A review by one of the “DJ” magazines that was around called Tablist.
So that was my first encounter with Rocafella Records, and unfortunately at the time it wasn’t the greatest experience. I made this mixtape, put a lot of work and effort and time into it, had delusions of grandeur of maybe working with one of rocafellas artists , and then… nothing.
Years later, in 2008, I ended up Djing for Mr. Carter. Sometimes Nice guys don’t finish last ;)
And now, for those who haven’t heard it yet, or haven’t heard it in years –
cialis on Flickr”>
The foundation of my career has always been making mixtapes, and I was never able to get them officially online for digital delivery because of the legal issues… until now ;)
I’ve joined thefuture.fm , a digital platform that allows me to not only stream my mixtapes legally, but also gets the artists whose music is on my mixes paid.
From thefuture.fm website –
We built a platform for you to listen to all the best mixes in the world. For you to discover new music. For you to enjoy music non-stop. For you to find high quality music in every genre. We want to give you the most professional DJs; DJs that not only play at the most exclusive events, the best clubs and the biggest festivals around the world, but also up and coming producers scouted from all over the net.
But we didn’t stop there. We also created technology that doesn’t exist anywhere else. Technology that lets you learn what songs you’re listening to, and buy them if you love them. Because we’re streaming only for one reason; so that we can track the songs that get played and pay royalties to the artists who’s music you enjoy.
Helping you find the best music
Promoting the DJs who curate it
Hooking up the artists who made it
That’s what we’re about.
Pretty sweeet huh? ;) And speaking of sweeet, thefuture.fm’s first project with me involves counting down to valentine’s day .
As part of my new partnership with thefuture.fm , we are counting down to Valentine’s day by digitally releasing all the cds in the Sweeet 10 Year Anniversary gift set, culminating with a brand new Valentine’s Day Mix available exclusively on thefuture.fm

A little while ago I contributed some cuts to a song by Chops .
Now if ya don’t know, ailment Chops was part of a group called the mountain brothers , the first Asian-American hip-hop group to sign to a major label (Ruff House/Sony Music) back in the late ’90s.
Below is the artwork for the song we did called Revolution featuring Kiwi, Ruby Ibarra, Ann One and yours truly.
Want to hear it? peep it here on Hypetrak who debut it yesterday.
This song is part of a project called Strength in Numbers.
From his website –
About 3 years back, I noticed amazing Asian American artists making waves, and rekindled an old dream: a project with ALL strong Asian talent! Artists today who go through many of the things my group did, overcoming the same obstacles, same struggles, pushing forward, and going beyond.
I spent 2 YEARS making music with over 30 of the best Asian American rappers and singers, with special guests from Japan and Korea
This is my chance, OUR chance, to make a statement together… with undeniably talented artists who stand for great music.
– Chops
So you’ve heard the song Revolution that I did cuts for.
The songs for the album are done. The music is made. But in order for this project to become a physical reality, we need your help.
Please check out the #Strengthinnumbers Kickstarter Page.
We are proud to announce that you fans made this project a reality! Thank you every each one of you who have supported and listened to the work done on this album….

From that huge list of over a thousand songs across the musical spectrum, and KIND asked me to chose a TOP 20 SONGS of Summer list, clinic chosen by the Fans. So think of it like a mixtape that you guys helped me make ;)
Here it is – the #KINDAWESOME 20 songs of summer summer playlist chosen by the KIND fans.
These 20 songs were chosen in NO particular order. Some songs are new and some are old classics, but all of them should help u hold onto the warm days of summer just a bit longer, and all of them were chosen by you KIND snack fans.
Enjoy!
